About Us

→ Unconventional

We live in a world that simultaneously witnesses both an incredible growth and empowerment of God’s church and increasing hostility to Jesus and those who follow him. God’s people, empowered by the Spirit, have overcome numerous obstacles to take the Gospel across our globe. Jesus knew the challenges his people would face as they took his message to the nations. He declared to his disciples that he would build his church so powerfully that even the Gates of Hades could not stop it. He knew his work would be finished because he himself would be with his witnesses—even unto the end of the age. Northern Asia is one of those challenging places. God has done amazing things among the people of this region. He continues to build his church— a dynamic, growing church filled with the zeal of Christ. But we also know that there remain 1.3 billion people, including more than 400 unreached peoples, who are still waiting for a voice like yours to speak hope and life to them in Jesus’ name. There are incredible and powerful opportunities to serve Jesus and the people of Northern Asia awaiting you. We follow a creative God who moves us to new, innovative, and unconventional ways of impacting lives for his kingdom. Come. Join us!

→ Focus on Unreached People Groups

In a region that has experienced a remarkable Christian awakening over the last several decades, hundreds of millions of people are outside of this great Christian movement. We believe that God is not willing that any should perish. We are committed to name the name of Jesus where it is not known, to plant the cross where it has not been lifted up, and to establish communities of faith where they do not exist.

→ Unconventional Methods

In unconventional settings we use non-traditional methods to attract the lost and share faith. Unique circumstances require unique solutions. We use otherwise non-religious strategies to engage lost peoples, develop relationships, and share Christ. We seek to establish communities of faith that may not be readily recognizable to Western believers - but are easily recognizable to God. These are Acts 2 communities of faith.

→ Serving In Teams

The biblical example in the book of Acts is working in teams. In Northern Asia we are committed to accomplishing our mandate - through synergistic teams that are committed to reaching the unreached peoples of the region. Our objective is to win and disciple the lost - and establish culturally appropriate communities of faith among them. Northern Asia teams are led by experienced personnel who are committed to our purpose - but also committed to the development of the team. They provide guidance in spiritual formation, mentoring in competencies, and team care.

Strategizing with the Holy Spirit to utilize “game plans" that will provide access to locations and peoples that are otherwise inaccessible. We cannot live with the often- used term - "restricted access.” We believe that our Creator God can provide all the creativity that we need to access hard to reach places and peoples.

→ Business

The unique challenges in Northern Asia require an unconventional response. Business provides a context for non-threatening engagement - where relationships are established, friendships are developed, and faith is shared. It establishes our team members as respected members of the community and trusted persons in the neighborhood. When businesses are established, conversations begin.

→ Campuses

The future of a nation is in its students. There are more than 2,000 university campuses in Northern Asia with more than 30 million students. These campuses are a cross-section of regional ethnicities and cultures. Most students have never encountered a follower of Jesus. Our team engages with these students, walking with them as they seek answers to life's greatest questions.

→ Education

Our international school team invests in K-12 grade students from around the globe. These students are the world’s future leaders - not just intellectually but also spiritually. Our teachers are part of the local community, interacting with local residents, getting into faith conversations, and pointing them to Christ.

→ Compassion

We work holistically, addressing not just spiritual needs, but physical needs as well. Our compassion efforts tangibly demonstrate the love of Christ. It gives us access to the hurting, helpless, hopeless, and disenfranchised. We know that Jesus loves these people - and so do we.

→ Advocacy

Thanks to you we are serving on the frontier - the bleeding edge of spiritual need. Your prayer and partnership sustains us and empowers us as you covenant with God to join your hearts with ours. We need partners to help tell our story and the stories of those to whom God has called us. Will you pray, will you advocate and - for some of you - will you come and join our team?
